  • What do I need to hire? (non-account customers)

    Non account or Cash customers will be required to provide the following on the day of the hire:

    • Your full driver’s licence (both card and counterpart) 
    • Another form of I.D. such as a recent utility bill showing the same address
    • A Copy of your insurance policy with suitability for commercial vehicle hire
    • Confirmation from your insurance broker/company that the specific hire vehicle has been added to your policy (if the policy does not cover all vehicles)
    • Confirmation that you are named as a permitted driver on the policy (if the policy does not cover all drivers) 
    • Your debit or credit card for payment of the hire
    • Your debit or credit card for the £250.00 deposit required
  • What do I need to hire a vehicle? (Approved Credit account customers)
    • Purchase Order number or reference (PO) to cover the duration of the hire
    • A Copy of your insurance policy with suitability for commercial vehicle hire
    • Confirmation from your insurance broker/company that the specific hire vehicle has been added to your policy (if the policy does not cover all vehicles)
    • Confirmation that you are named as a permitted driver on the policy (if the policy does not cover all drivers) 
    • Your full driver’s licence (both card and counterpart) 
  • Do I have to pay a Deposit when hiring a vehicle?

    We require a £250 refundable deposit over and above the rental charge for a non-account customer.

  • Can I drive my hired vehicle to the UK mainland, ROI or other European countries?

    All vehicles can be driven in N. Ireland and the UK Mainland. For vehicles to be eligible to travel in ROI or continental Europe you must complete a VE103B (vehicle on hire certificate) form. We can complete the VE103B form at the time of hire for a small administration fee of £25.00 + Vat. Your insurance policy must allow travel to these countries.  Please ask your insurer if you are unsure.

  • Do I need to return my vehicle with a full fuel tank?

    Your vehicle will be full of fuel when you collect it and you can either return the vehicle full or alternatively, we will charge you for whatever quantity it takes fill the vehicle on return. 

  • Where do I collect my hire vehicle?

    All vehicles should be collected at ALLRoad/KDMHire head Office Depot, located at 11 Killycolp Rd, Cookstown BT80 9AD, alternatively vehicles can also be collected at our Belfast branch by prior arrangement, 11 Mallusk Drive, Newtownabbey, Co Antrim BT36 4GX

  • Can you deliver my hired vehicle to my location?

    We can arrange delivery for approved account customers however a small delivery charge may apply depending on your location.

  • Can I hire a vehicle for personal use?

    Yes, as long as you can provide the appropriate vehicle insurance. Hired vehicle insurance should be readily available from your insurer for a small additional premium.

  • What do I do when servicing or PSVs are due?

    The vehicle will need to be returned to our Cookstown depot where we will service-while you wait. If longer maintenance or repair time is required a replacement vehicle will be provided for the duration. Collection and return of your vehicle is possible upon request, small charges may apply. 

  • What is the maximum mileage allowance per annum?

    There is no mileage limitation for vehicles staying within N. Ireland for short term hires of up to 4 weeks duration. Thereafter or for vehicles travelling to the UK Mainland, ROI or Europe, the maximum allowable is 500 miles per week (25,000 per annum). Additional miles are chargeable unless otherwise agreed. If you require a vehicle for a longer duration and anticipate travelling more mileage, we can provide a quote tailored to suit your requirements.

  • Can I add my own company branding/logo to the vehicle(s)?

    Customers hiring vehicles for a duration of 6 months or longer can add custom livery to their vehicles upon request. The livery must be undertaken by ALLROAD or an approved supplier and all costs incurred will be the responsibility of the hirer. Quotations are available upon request and cost will vary depending on the size of the vehicle and livery required. Costs will include rebranding the vehicle to All Road at the end of the hire.

  • Would it be possible to change the vehicle during a hire?

    Yes, if you need to change the type or size of vehicle you have hired, we can arrange this at any time subject to availability. We’ll need confirmation of changes to your insurance cover and agreed hire rate changes.

  • Do you charge an administration fee for fines or penalty charges incurred during the hire?

    Your details will be forwarded to the relevant enforcing authority for any traffic or parking offence incurred whilst driving one of our vehicles.  We charge a £25.00 + Vat administration fee for each and every occurrence. 

  • What damage is chargeable when I return the vehicle?

    Vehicles will be assessed on return from hire. Any damage found that wasn’t specifically noted before the hire commenced will be chargeable. Fair wear and tear is excepted including any minor scrapes or marks on loading and passenger entry areas. At the discretion of Allroad.  

  • What happens in the event of an accident?

    Please contact your insurer who will advise you of your next steps. Please also contact us immediately in the event that the vehicle needs recovered as the vehicle will need returned to our premises. 

    One of our vehicle rental advisors will help you with any assistance or queries you may have. 

  • What happens if I breakdown?

    In the unlikely event of your vehicle breaking down, during working hours and within the N.Ireland geographical area hours please call 028 8676 3350 for assistance. For out of hours assistance and for vehicles travelling outside N. Ireland our vehicles come with full nationwide breakdown coverage (T’s & C’s apply). Details of this will be included with the documents given to you at the time of hire. It is important that you keep these with you.
